About the Role:
ESI Waterproofing & Masonry Restoration is looking for a sharp and driven Controller to join our team in Rockland, MA. This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of the company's financial operations and help drive smart business decisions. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and applicable tax regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions
- Monitor job costing and project financials in coordination with operations leadership
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience, ideally in construction or contracting
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Experience with payroll processing and multi-state tax compliance is a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
