We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller for our Commercial Real Estate division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative team where your expertise will be leveraged to oversee financial operations, manage budgets, and ensure the financial health of our growing real estate portfolio. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a robust understanding of commercial real estate, retail, and shopping center financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NNN leases, draw loans, bridge loans, and cash flow management.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations related to our commercial real estate portfolio, including retail and shopping centers.
2. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
3. Manage NNN leases, draw loans, and bridge loans.
4. Oversee cash flow management and ensure the financial health of the portfolio.
5. Prepare and review tax documentation to guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
6. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic financial plans.
7. Use MRI software to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
8. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
9. Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
10. Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role within the commercial real estate industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of NNN leases, draw loans, bridge loans, and cash flow management.
4. Extensive experience with MRI software.
5. Solid understanding of tax documentation and compliance in the commercial real estate sector.
6. Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
7. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
