    Title: Control System Engineer 
    Location: Columbus, IN/Onsite
    Duration: Full Time
    Salary: $100,000-$125,000 a year

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

    •              Rockwell Automation ControlLogix system design experience, including motion, ladder logic, and safety programming experience.  

    •              Siemens Step 7 or other PLC version experience is desired.

    •              Function block and structured text programming is desired but not required.

    •              Must be proficient in Rockwell Software PLC Programming, Studio 5000.

    •              Must be proficient in Rockwell Software HMI Programming, FactoryTalk View Studio.

    •              Must understand PLC Hardware and Communication Protocols.

    •              Machine Safety Systems

    •              Knowledge of following would be preferred: 

    o             Robotic Systems: Fanuc and Nachi

    o             Vision Systems: Cognex, Keyence and Coherix

    o             Fanuc PMC ladder in CNC equipment

     

    Roles & Responsibilities

    •              Develops and designs control systems; develops and implements bench tests; alters software and equipment to ensure that sensors and actuators are functioning according to specifications; supports and debugs complex problems and change requests. 

    •              Responsible for the installation and technical support of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based hardware and software. Coaches and mentors are less experienced Controls Engineers

    •              Support Control activities for RMEP, CEP and CMEP Plant transformation in the Assembly, and or Machining areas as needed. This will include:

    o             Collaborating with other engineering disciplines in the plant to develop and improve processes and equipment in the plant.

    o             Work with equipment suppliers and drive programming, network, architecture, hardware and documentation standards for new equipment.

    o             PLC, HMI and MES Programming Changes

    o             Production support as needed.
