Control Panel Wiring Technician — Machesney Park, Illinois
By 5:00 a.m., the floor hums to life. You pull on your gloves, open the day’s schematics, and set up your station for precision wiring. You’ll be building and reworking electrical assemblies for rugged backup power enclosures and fuel tank systems—equipment that keeps critical operations running when it matters most.
What you’ll tackle
- Assemble, repair, and rework electrical panels and assemblies with speed, accuracy, and quality in mind.
- Install conduit; wire switches and receptacles; complete AC/DC wiring.
- Label and terminate conductors with clean, consistent routing.
- Handle 480V and 240V wiring safely and to spec.
- Use power/hand tools, measuring devices, and electrical instruments confidently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and written procedures to execute builds.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment per inspection steps and resolve issues at the source.
- Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, meeting high quality and on-time delivery goals.
- Pitch in across the production floor when needed—your teamwork keeps us moving.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- 1+ year of experience as an Electrical Technician (required).
- Hands-on knowledge of AC/DC circuits; 480V and 240V wiring; safe tool and instrument use (required).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams (required).
Compensation & benefits
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
