We are currently seeking a Support & Maintenance Engineer (L2/L3) to join our team in Frisco, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced Application Support & Maintenance Engineer (L2/L3) with strong expertise in BMC Control-M to provide production support, maintenance, monitoring, scheduling administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of enterprise batch processing environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of business-critical batch workloads, file transfers, and automated job scheduling processes across distributed and mainframe platforms.
  • The role requires hands-on experience in Control-M administration, workflow scheduling, incident management, root cause analysis, and collaboration with application, infrastructure, database, and business teams in a 24x7 support environment, radiology infrastructure, and imaging workflow management, ensuring high availability and operational excellence of clinical imaging systems.

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
Application Support (L2/L3)
  • 5+Years of experience in Providing L2/L3 support for Control-M scheduling and workload automation platforms.
  • 5+Years of experience in Monitoring daily batch operations and ensure successful completion of scheduled jobs.
  • 5+Years of experience in Investigate, analyze, and resolve job failures, scheduling issues, and workflow interruptions.
  • 5+Years of experience in Handling incidents, service requests, and problem records within SLA commitments.
  • 5+Years of experience in Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
  • 5+Years of experience in Coordinating with application, database, infrastructure, and business teams during major incidents.
  • Participate in on-call support and critical production support activities.
  • Control-M Administration
  • Create, modify, schedule, and maintain Control-M jobs, folders, and workflows.
  • Manage calendars, scheduling tables, conditions, resources, and dependencies.
  • Configure job alerts, notifications, escalation paths, and monitoring dashboards.
  • Support Control-M upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and operational controls.
  • Perform Control-M agent installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Batch Operations & Monitoring
  • Monitor enterprise batch processing environments and workload execution.
  • Ensure timely execution of critical business jobs and overnight batch cycles.
  • Analyze job performance and optimize batch processing schedules.
  • Support high-volume processing environments meeting business SLAs.
  • Handle reruns, restarts, recovery activities, and failure management.
  • Change & Release Support
  • Review and implement scheduling-related change requests.
  • Support application releases requiring batch job deployments.
  • Validate job dependencies and end-to-end workflow execution.
  • Participate in CAB reviews and production deployment activities.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for automation and workload optimization.
  • Improve operational efficiency through proactive monitoring and alerting.
  • Develop reusable scheduling standards and best practices.
  • Recommend solutions to reduce operational risk and improve reliability.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
  • Document job dependencies, schedules, escalation procedures, and recovery steps.
  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.

  • Experience working in 24x7 support operations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management practices.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Control-M Certification.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Experience integrating Control-M with ERP, ETL, data warehouse, and business applications.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Healthcare, Retail, Banking, Insurance, or Manufacturing domains.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is [$55.19 to $65.20 on w2].This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
