Services For Adults (SFA) is a part of the Adult Services Division of the Mecklenburg County Department of Child, Family, and Adult Services. The division is responsible for three main program areas: Adult Social Work Services, the Senior Citizens Nutrition Program, and the Mecklenburg Transportation System (MTS).
Position Specific Information
The Mecklenburg Transportation System (MTS) provides coordinated non-emergency and general public transportation to eligible residents in Mecklenburg County.
The Contracts Administrator / Social Services Program Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing contracts related to purchased transportation services within the Mecklenburg Transportation System (MTS). This includes ensuring vendor compliance, maintaining safety and service standards, and supporting program integrity through detailed monitoring and documentation.
In addition, the Contracts Administrator leads community engagement and outreach efforts, helping residents understand available transportation services, strengthening relationships with community partners, and ensuring equitable access for all eligible populations.

Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Office location is 3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
Position Summary
Coordinate and supervise the overall functions of a program within social services. This position, under minimal supervision, is responsible for ensuring quality control and appropriateness of the program, coordinating special projects, and preparing applicable reports.
Essential Functions
Coordinate and supervise program activities and assist in the development of program.
Conduct staff meetings with personnel to discuss plans, programs, and issues; work closely with other supervisors and managers.
Review and audit staff cases and workloads to prioritize duties and referrals for new cases.
Participates in staff conferences regarding programs.
Investigate and take action on requests, suggestions or complaints concerning services in the assigned area.
Monitor current programs and assist with the development of new programs.
Complete monthly and quarterly program reports.
Participate in staff conferences, workshops and other learning regarding assigned programs.
Provide leadership to staff members.
May be required to staff shelters in the event of disaster.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of three years of social services or human services experience.
Education: Bachelor''s degree in a related field.
Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted? Yes
Licenses and Certifications:
Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver''s License
May require County Driving Privileges
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NCTracks Operations or similar provider communication portals.
Experience with FTA and FMCSA compliance guidelines.
Knowledge of or experience in contract management.
Knowledge of or experience in community engagement strategies.
Availability for occasional after-hours support related to vendor or community needs.
