About the Role
We are seeking a Contracts Administrator I to support the Legal Studios & Networks team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring television productions meet legal clearance requirements from script to screen.
You will work closely with production, legal teams, and external stakeholders to review scripts, clear intellectual property, and ensure compliance with copyright and trademark laws.
This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure across multiple productions and work within a highly collaborative, fast-paced entertainment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review television scripts and treatments to ensure all names, businesses, and locations are fictional and legally compliant
Analyze script revisions to identify new clearance requirements
Research copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property usage
Obtain permissions for artwork, logos, posters, and other visual elements
Clear clips and talent appearances for production use
Support contract-related activities including releases and permissions
Assist with administrative tasks such as:
Guild payments and permissions tracking
Department accounts and billing reports
Perform general clerical duties (filing, documentation, etc.)
Collaborate with production teams and legal stakeholders on clearance issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in a detail-oriented role
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong interest in the entertainment/media industry
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree (preferred but not required)
Experience in legal, production, or media environments
Familiarity with film/television production processes
Experience with reverse image searches
Interest in Warner Bros. Discovery content (e.g., The Big Bang Theory )
