Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist

As a Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will fill critical roles faster so donors, patients, and communities get the talent that keeps the blood supply moving.
Performance Objectives
- Fill priority requisitions (clinical, donor-care, operations, and corporate) to agreed time-to-fill and quality-of-hire targets within the first 90 days.
- Source, screen, and present qualified slates that hiring managers advance at a high interview-to-offer rate.
- Partner with hiring managers to clarify success outcomes, interview plans, and offer strategy so candidates experience a world-class process.
- Run high-volume and specialized searches using ATS, job boards, and networks while keeping candidate pipelines accurate and current.
- Deliver weekly pipeline and funnel reports that flag risks early and keep stakeholders aligned on close dates.
- Coach interviewers on fair, mission-aligned selection so new hires succeed in a 24/7, regulated healthcare environment.
- Close the loop with candidates and hiring teams so every interaction reflects Vitalants inclusive, donor-and-patient-first brand.
Environment & Resources
You will work as a contractor supporting Talent Acquisition, reporting to a TA leader and partnering with hiring managers nationwide. You will use the enterprise ATS, standard sourcing tools, and established scorecards. Expect a mix of high-volume donor-care roles and specialized clinical/corporate searches, with clear requisition priorities and defined SLAs.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven full-cycle recruiting that has met time-to-fill and quality targets in healthcare, nonprofit, or high-volume operations.
- Skill sourcing and screening for both hourly/clinical and professional roles, with strong ATS hygiene and pipeline discipline.
- Ability to influence hiring managers, run structured interviews, and close candidates without overselling.
- Comfort operating on a contract with measurable weekly outcomes and shifting priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication; discretion with confidential candidate and employee data.
- Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments preferred.
