Help individuals, families, and communities cope with and overcome challenges in their lives.
They assess needs, develop support plans, provide counseling and advocacy, and connect clients with resources. Social workers address a wide range of issues, including mental health, substance abuse, poverty, and child welfare.
To work in various settings also, such as hospitals, schools, and social service agencies.
Requirements
1 year social worker or counselor
