Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to administer assigned contracts of broad scope and high complexity, ensuring the fulfillment of contractual obligations. This role involves defining requirements, generating and providing input for proposals, negotiating pricing and terms, monitoring contract performance, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. The position is based in Irvine, CA, a vibrant city known for its diverse community, excellent schools, and proximity to Southern California's beautiful beaches and attractions.

Responsibilities

  • Administer major contract requirements by analyzing performance requirements and customer purchase order requirements, including those issued against Basic Contract Agreements and/or Long-Term Agreements.
  • Determine technically and commercially compliant complex proposal packages for major customers.
  • Initiate the bid process by identifying requirements and coordinating input from other functions. Develop complex responses to requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Negotiate complex contract requirements in accordance with legal and company regulations and policies.
  • Investigate and resolve claims or complaints by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Monitor contract performance to determine compliance with contract requirements and the need for amendments or extensions.
  • Act as the point of contact with the customer on assigned contracts and participate in customer presentations.
  • Apply and lead initiatives to improve the efficiency of internal systems and processes.
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge and may participate in professional associations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations.
  • Act as a consultant to management on major contractual matters.
  • Train and mentor less experienced employees and may provide leadership to others in the department or ad-hoc teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Contract management certification required (e.g., NCMA, IACCM) unless holding a JD or MBA.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job, typically acquired through 5 years of related experience of increasing responsibility.
