This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Engineering graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in medical device product development, design validation, prototype testing, and FDA documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design new medical device product concepts as assigned by the VP of Engineering
- Build, test, and evaluate new product prototypes
- Document final product designs and development activities
- Assist with design documentation and specifications required for FDA submissions
- Support validation and verification activities throughout product development
- Initiate and oversee pre-production runs for new products
- Help plan ongoing manufacturing and production processes
- Collaborate with Production teams regarding product improvements and engineering updates
- Maintain detailed design history files and development records
- Evaluate raw materials and work with suppliers to identify appropriate components
- Communicate with physicians regarding product concepts, evaluations, and feedback
- Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and supplier events as needed
- Analyze technical challenges and develop effective engineering solutions
- Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Understanding of engineering validation and product development processes
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Candidates must have prior hands-on experience related to medical devices, including one or more of the following:
- Professional work experience in the medical device industry
- Medical device internship experience
- Medical device co-op experience
- Medical device fellowship experience
- Medical device research experience involving product design, testing, validation, or development
