Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced contract manager.
Job Summary
In a busy in-house Legal Department, that works as a team, the contract manager's primary responsibility is to process requests for contract review; communicate between internal business units and the legal team; facilitate the process for contract execution; and update internal electronic files and databases. This fast-paced role navigates document preparation and revision in partnership with stakeholders and attorneys.
Primary Responsibilities
- Answers internal questions, communicates with internal and external clients with updates and gathering information, manages contract files, identifies and manages critical dates and administers amendments.
- Participates in the negotiation, review, revision and control of contracts.
- Oversees the legal review process, following up and coordinating contract execution, expediting various document processes for necessary approvals and signatures.
- Works with Department attorneys to interpret contract language and to formulate responses to questions from clients
- Participates in special projects, such as due diligence and related matters where real time support and administration is critical.
- Maintains master agreement forms and updates, incorporating modifications and improvements that are made over time.
- Facilitates requests for contract review through the Legal Department's electronic contract lifecycle management platform
- Participates in meetings of multi-disciplinary committees and working groups as a representative of the Legal Department
- Utilizes templates to prepare contracts, both independently and for attorney review
- Develops processes to enhance reporting and contract management activities
- Assists lawyers with projects; maintains project overview when coordinating project documentation.
- Works to improve the Legal Department's use of technology to enhance the capabilities of systems and processes
