A bit about us:

Based in the Century City area of Los Angeles, we are an established civil litigation firm representing sophisticated clients in complex disputes.

Our practice focuses on insurance coverage and bad faith, professional liability, employment defense, director and officer liability, public entity liability, and general business and commercial litigation.

We are looking for a high-level Contract Litigation Paralegal who can step into an active litigation environment and immediately take meaningful ownership of discovery.

This isn't a junior support position. We're looking for someone who understands litigation, can manage substantial discovery responsibilities, stays ahead of deadlines, and can work directly with experienced attorneys with minimal hand-holding.

Contract Position

Is your background a fit? Apply if you meet this criterion:
Paralegal Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent litigation experience plus:

• 5+ years of litigation and discovery experience preferred
• 30 hours/week to start
• Extensive experience preparing and managing written discovery and discovery responses
• Experience with interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and subpoenas
• Strong experience drafting and responding to written discovery
• Ability to independently research and analyze substantive legal issues
• Experience with discovery disputes, document production, and privilege issues preferred
• Background in insurance defense, professional liability, insurance coverage/bad faith, employment defense, or commercial litigation preferred

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation paralegal who is comfortable owning the discovery process and working directly with experienced litigators on sophisticated matters.
