    Job Description Summary:

    Job Description:

    The Supply Chain Contract Coordinator assists the Director of Contracting with ensuring all GPO/Local contracts are up to date and maximizing savings, in accordance with category strategy, professional standards and applicable regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall contract/price files for the organization.

    Additional Job Description:

    Under the direct supervision of the Director of Contracting, this position provides contractual support and also:

    • Identifies contract opportunities for products/services contributing to standardization of products, higher levels of quality patient experience/care delivery, and overall cost reduction which could result in significant cost savings for the facility
    • Helps to organize and maintain a centralized contract database of all local purchasing contracts; maintains price file
    • Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on service sourcing strategies, practices, and procedures
    • Renews existing contracts as directed
    • Maintains knowledge of all purchasing contracts and policies

    Reviews all pricing exceptions; escalates as needed

    • Assists Supply Chain Management in the administration of the supply/equipment contract portfolio, contract compliance and utilization reports
    • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
    • Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times

    Education:

    • High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)

    Experience:

    • Three (3) years related work experiences (required)

    Experience in a healthcare environment (preferred)
