Description

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Contract Coordinator II for a prominent client of ours.  This position is in North Chicago, IL 60064. Details for the position are as follows:

Contract Coordinator II

Location: North Chicago, IL
Pay: $33–$35/hour
Contract: 6 months
Schedule: Hybrid after initial onsite training

Schedule

Candidates must be able to work onsite 5 days per week for the first 3–4 weeks. After training, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: Onsite in North Chicago
  • Monday & Friday: Remote

This is not a fully remote position.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Contract Coordinator to support an R&D Procurement team with the integration and review of contracts associated with company acquisitions.

The primary focus of this position will be reviewing legal and procurement agreements, identifying key contract information, and accurately entering and tracking that information within internal systems.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in contracts, procurement, purchasing, legal support, or paralegal work who is highly organized and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret contracts and other legal agreements.
  • Extract key contract information such as contract terms, assignment clauses, execution/countersignature status, dates, and other relevant details.
  • Enter and maintain accurate contract information within internal contract management systems.
  • Prepare and track assignment notices related to acquired-company agreements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contract status tracking.
  • Assist with purchase order and shopping cart requests.
  • Support the transition of purchase orders from legacy systems.
  • Communicate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, R&D, and other business stakeholders.
  • Track project priorities and ensure assigned contract activities are completed on schedule.
  • May provide support with contract amendments or negotiations as the project progresses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, or administering contracts or agreements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately extract information from legal documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Procurement, purchasing, or procurement contract experience.
  • Paralegal or legal contract administration experience.
  • Contract lifecycle management or contract database experience.
  • Salesforce or Smartsheet experience.
  • Purchase order or procurement system experience.
  • Pharmaceutical, healthcare, clinical research, or R&D exposure is helpful but not required.

Recent JD graduates and candidates with strong paralegal backgrounds may also be considered.
