LHH is assisting a growing firm in the Tampa Bay area in its search for a Construction Litigation Attorney to support an expanding caseload of complex construction-related matters. This is a contract assignment offering the opportunity to work on sophisticated disputes in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Handle all phases of construction defect litigation matters
Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements
Manage mechanic's lien and bond claims
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery
Assist with dispute resolution, including mediation and settlement negotiations
Support matters involving commercial and residential development projects
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, experts, and project stakeholders throughout the litigation lifecycle
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership required
3+ years of experience in construction law or construction litigation
Experience handling construction defect, contract, and lien disputes
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Experience working on commercial development projects strongly preferred
