Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
The base salary range represents a good faith salary range for this position. This position is eligible for annual incentive pay and has the opportunity for continued salary growth. Primary Role
The Engineering Contract Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing contractor safety utilizing ISNet and related systems to monitor grade compliance, build relationships, communicate and document problem resolution with contractors across the state which have a significant impact to company objectives related to capital delivery and day to day operation.
Key Accountabilities
- Administer contractor grade waiver requests; review and assess contractor's safety performance to evaluate and then apply for a waiver to the QRC.
- Develop, implement and track enhanced oversight plans for contractors that need improved jobsite safety performance.
- Utilize the ISNetworld daily grade change notification system to ensure efficient resolution of non-compliance within the Company's contractor pool, with a focus on actionable administrative issues and incident numbers.
- Create custom reports, in support of Company driven safety/operational directives, involving contractor evaluation; weekly/monthly and on demand.
- Ensure audit/evaluation goals are met for all required contractors.
- Ensure audit/evaluation goals are met for post job site evaluations.
- Collaborate with Safety Director on safety initiatives; escalate safety issues.
- Review and assess validity of all contractor insurance variance requests, written program requests & site tracker revision requests, in ISNet
- Respond to queries from client/customer/safety community.
- Represent state operation and engineering on the corporate ISNetworld steering committee.
- Train state operations and engineering teams on ISNet navigation, JSE's, etc.
- Monitor and track contractor grade changes.
- Address non-compliant contractor grades.
- Onboard new contractors into ISNET.
- Coordinate the assistance of the ISNetworld customer service team for the administration of our contractors.
- Review contractor job site/post evaluations, in pursuit of the Company goal of 100% completion: assist the operations & safety staff in tracking completion and identifying gaps.Grow eligible contractor base to expeditiously complete critical infrastructure investment and customer growth, with the ongoing addition of safety conscious contractors to complete scheduled and emergency projects/repairs/installations to enhance customer growth.
- Support the engineering manager on business development opportunities by reviewing documentation, providing proper guidance to the procurement dept on the transfer and onboarding of existing Agreements with contractors.
Knowledge/Skills
- Advanced knowledge of ISNet and contractor safety compliance
- General understanding of safety metrics.
- Knowledge of company procedures, policies and operations.
- Strong business acumen and judgment.
- Computer literacy. Competent in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, flow-charting, and ISNET.
- Strong quantitative skills (e.g., analytical, technical, problem solving).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (e.g., fluency in report writing and presentations).
- Effective interpersonal skills (e.g., persuasion, negotiation, listening, cooperation, tact, diplomacy, problem solving, internal consulting).

Experience/Education
Associate's degree in Applied Science, Project Management, Engineering, or Engineering Technology. Bachelor's degree preferred. Additional relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
2 years' experience in systems, policies and procedures related to contract compliance and contractor safety compliance
Travel Requirements
Up to 10%, as required
