Position Description
The Contract and Compliance Board Executive Director (General Services Division Manager) serves as the principal administrative advisor to the Contract and Compliance Board, providing executive leadership and operational support to the Board by coordinating its activities, facilitating effective governance, and ensuring the Board carries out its responsibilities in accordance with its establishing ordinance, applicable laws, and accepted parliamentary procedures. The Executive Director also serves as the primary liaison between the Board, Metro departments, Metro Legal, contractors, consultants, and the public to support informed decision-making and the implementation of Board actions.
This position is responsible for meeting, evaluating, and monitoring compliance with construction contracts related to construction activities on projects by the Metropolitan Government and performing related duties as required. The Executive Director is responsible for supporting the Boards oversight of contract compliance by monitoring contractual duties and obligations, administering the complaint process, and ensuring that complaints are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and reported to the Board and other appropriate entities.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of managerial, financial, or administrative experience in a construction, trades, or related field or contract and/or construction inspection compliance.
Additional years of experience identified in the list above may be considered in lieu of education (1 year for 1 year ratio)

Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
