Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Contract Administrator based out San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.
What Youll Get to Do:
The Contract Administrator will support the Fighter Networked Systems (FNS) Operating Unit. The position will report directly to the Manager of Contracts and will serve as the primary contact with our customer, administering a portfolio of mostly cost-type development contracts supporting internal and external customers. This position is responsible for all formal contract communications, and sustaining the contractual baseline to ensure favorable programmatic and financial performance. In addition to established development efforts, the position will also support various new business proposals and ROMs, both competitive and sole-source.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts with management support • Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications with management support. • Coordinate with functional teams and management to lead internal proposal approval process • Advise program teams of contractual rights and obligations, including interpretation of contract terms and conditions • Maintain and update contract documents and official program records, including contractual documents and correspondence • Monitor contract requirements and associated program funding and deliverables to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated, understood, and followed • Ensure compliance with company procedures and government regulations • Administer, negotiate, and perform closeout of contract • Maintain an open and healthy relationship with internal and external customers
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree with 2 years of related experience in Contract Management or Contract Administration - OR - related field (i.e. contracts-related legal, pricing, supply chain, business management, etc.) - OR - a Masters degree with 1 year of experience as described above. • U.S. Citizenship required. • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using FAR/DFARS • Experience with the SAP Sales & Distribution Module • Experience with Contract Negotiation • Experience working with NDAs • Current, active DoW Secret security clearance.
