General SummaryThis position is responsible for preparing and executing downstream agreements in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and Granite requirements. The Contract Administrator supports project teams by helping ensure agreements, change orders, and insurance requirements are completed accurately, timely, and with appropriate documentation. This is a risk-related role focused on helping protect Granite through clear agreement administration, proper document control, and compliance with applicable project and company requirements.
This position offers a hybrid schedule of four (4) days per week in the Kennewick office and one (1) day remote after an initial training period.
- Prepare and execute downstream agreements to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing.
- Review project specifications, contractual requirements, and Granite requirements to confirm downstream agreements include required terms, documentation, and supporting information.
- Prepare and execute change orders and modifications in accordance with project and company requirements.
- Review and approve insurance documentation to confirm compliance with agreement and project requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including project teams, operations finance, risk, and management, to resolve agreement, insurance, or change order questions.
- Create and maintain accurate agreement files to ensure documentation is complete, organized, and readily available.
- Assist with identifying and communicating agreement or insurance-related risks to help protect Granite and support project compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as needed based on business, project, or cross-training needs.
Education- High School diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience- 1-3 years administrative/office experience
- 1 year accounting experience preferred
- Administrative, accounting, construction, project administration, contract administration, or related experience preferred.
- Experience with construction agreements, insurance documentation, change orders, or project documentation is a plus.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities- Ability to understand company operations, organizational procedures, and personnel.
- Must be proficient on spreadsheet and word processing applications, i.e. Word and Excel.
- Must demonstrate ethical and professional business practices.
- Must have effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
