    Description

    Hawkins Construction, a premier Commercial General Contracting firm, is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team in a permanent office-based role. This position focuses on subcontractor procurement for ground-up commercial projects, including Retail, Big Box Retail, Supermarkets, Municipal, Mixed-Use, Medical Office, and Multi-Family developments. We are looking for a seasoned professional with strong commercial construction expertise who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to transition from field-based project management to a pivotal office role, eliminating the need for travel.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
     
    • Review construction plans and specifications with precision to develop comprehensive subcontractor scopes of work.
    • Establish initial project budgets based on estimating department inputs.
    • Procure subcontractors and materials, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
    • Draft and manage contracts and purchase orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Coordinate effectively with project teams and various departments to ensure seamless project execution.
    Qualifications:
     
    • Minimum of 7 years of commercial construction experience (essential), with a proven track record in ground-up projects.
    • Expertise in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications (critical for success).
    • Strong ability to develop detailed subcontractor scopes of work to ensure project clarity and efficiency.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is mandatory for managing documentation and communication.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating daily with cross-functional teams.
    • College degree and bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
