    Description

We have a proven track record of growth and an excellent reputation throughout our industry.The Continuous Improvement Engineer supports warehouse and distribution operations by identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety across the supply chain network. This role works directly on the warehouse floor with operations leaders and frontline associates to improve processes, reduce waste, and implement sustainable operational improvements.This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with internship experience or early-career professionals looking to grow their experience in supply chain engineering, warehouse operations, logistics, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is analytical, hands‑on, highly motivated, process improvement‑minded and eager to learn in a fast‑paced operational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with warehouse operations and senior teams to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities within receiving, put‑away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory processes.Conduct time studies, process observations, workflow analysis, and root cause investigations on the warehouse floor.Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on productivity, labor optimization, quality, and operational efficiency.Assist with implementation of standard work, SOPs, visual management tools, and process documentation.Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.Help develop labor standards and productivity tracking methods within warehouse environments.Participate in Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, and waste reduction projects.Working cross‑functionally with operations, safety, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to support operational improvements.Assist with warehouse layout optimization, slotting strategies, and material flow improvements.Support implementation and Continuous Improvement of warehouse technologies including WMS systems, automation tools, and reporting dashboards.Build reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project results to internal Partners.Participate in startup operations, network optimization projects, and facility improvement initiatives as needed.Maintain a strong (90%) presence on the warehouse floor to support operational engagement and change management efforts.Support a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.0-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or Continuous Improvement environments.Internship, co‑op, or hands‑on project experience in warehouse process improvement strongly preferred.Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is required.Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or process improvement methodologies preferred.Experience with WMS, ERP systems, or data visualization tools is a plus.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced warehouse and operational environments.Comfortable spending significant time on the warehouse floor supporting operations teams.Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.Ability to interpret operational metrics and make data‑driven recommendations.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Self‑starter mindset with strong curiosity and willingness to learn.Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.Ability to travel as business needs require (if needed to support other locations).Physical RequirementsAbility to walk facilities and operational sites for extended periods of timeAbility to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.Must be able to work in warehouses, distribution, and industrial environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.Ability to travel as required to support multiple locations.Why Join CapstoneOpportunity to work directly with operations teams and Senior Leaders on high‑impact projects/initiatives.Exposure to large‑scale 4-wall warehouse and supply chain operations.Internal career growth opportunities.Hands‑on experience with creating productive process improvements.Fast‑paced environment with visibility to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.We will offer a compensation package consisting of a competitive annual base salary with incentive opportunities based on overall operational profitability as well as personal developmental goals.
