JOB DUTIES: Implement, coordinate, and improve Tenneco NA OE quality systems. Provide technical support to company staff and plant team members to ensure compliance to internal and external customer requirements, with emphasis on continuous improvement in product quality, cost, and customer satisfaction. Lead and organize formal / informal problem solving in the areas of scrap, process capability, and warranty. Provide training in quality systems and related areas such as APQP, BOS, Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control, Gage R&R and DOE. Lead the plant's continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate non-value-added activities while improving operational excellence. Ensure processes maintain a high performance while continuously reviewing and refining those processes. Lead Tenneco Management System (P3) deployment and training. Drive and manage the TMS (P3) and ensure all Continuous Improvement (CI) targets are met for AOP. Establish a culture of operational excellence throughout all plant operations with emphasis on sustainable development. Support compliance with external customer requirements. Interface with design/process engineering, purchasing, manufacturing plants and customers on new product / process launches. Ensure that customer requirements are addressed. Coordinate corrective action and follow up for all customer-related quality issues. Conduct system and product audits. Assist in maintenance of ISO/TS 16949 and ISO14001 certification. Coordinate / facilitate continuous improvement in system compliance, product quality, customer satisfaction, cost of quality, and other areas as needed. Link process deficiencies directly to bottom line impact. Plan budget and manage costs related to operational excellence initiatives. Directly supervise, train, and mentor full-time CI and quality assigned resources. Provide risk assessment to Plant Manager on customer design / quality issues. Submit monthly plant quality KPI's. Coordinate corrective action responses to the customer. Provide support for other plants, purchasing and corporate quality departments as needed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Economics, International Business Management, International Finance, or International Economics.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of experience as Continuous Improvement Analyst, Continuous Improvement Specialist, Continuous Improvement Manager, Operations Engineer, Operations Manager or Industrial Engineer.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Economics, International Business Management, International Finance, or International Economics.

ALTERNATE EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience as Continuous Improvement Analyst, Continuous Improvement Specialist, Continuous Improvement Manager, Operations Engineer, Operations Manager or Industrial Engineer.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience or the Master's Degree and three (3) years of experience as Continuous Improvement Analyst, Continuous Improvement Specialist, Continuous Improvement Manager, Operations Engineer, Operations Manager, or Industrial Engineer must have included experience with cycle time reduction, waste reduction, yield improvement, productivity and throughput improvement and the use of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods, including LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma, and TQM. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 5% domestic travel to other Tenneco facilities as needed.
