Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Endocrinology to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will desire a contingent schedule, will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Previous APP experience of at least one-year required. Previous experience in ENDO, primary care, or inpatient hospital preferred.

Schedule - Contingent Status. Monday - Friday in clinic, with occasional inpatient weekend coverage.
Weekend requirement - Occasional Weekends. Hours are typically 630a-230p

Qualifications:
- NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
- PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan
- PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Licensure and Certification
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application)
- National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.
- DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.
