Content Management Coordinator Job Summary:

Sparks Group has partnered with a leading scientific and professional membership organization in Washington, DC to identify a Content Management Coordinator to support the launch and ongoing development of regional websites. This will be a long-term, hybrid, contract role requiring you to work onsite in Washington, DC 2-3 days a week. As a Content Management Coordinator, you will primarily support the launch of eight Region Board websites, overseeing content audits, migration planning, content preparation, CMS publishing, accessibility and quality assurance reviews, stakeholder coordination, launch support, and migration tracking.

The position will also support the development of eight Regional Meeting informational websites for 2027 meetings. The ideal candidate will have experience with website content migration, content operations, CMS publishing, content governance, accessibility standards, and process documentation. Experience configuring sites and templates within established website platforms is preferred.

Content Management Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the launch of eight Region Board websites, including content audits, migration planning, content preparation, publishing, QA, accessibility reviews, and launch support.
  • Support the development and launch of eight Regional Meeting informational websites for 2027 meetings.
  • Conduct content inventories and audits to assess existing content and determine migration requirements.
  • Develop and maintain content migration plans, tracking documentation, launch readiness checklists, and project status updates.
  • Migrate, organize, and publish website content within established CMS platforms.
  • Configure website pages and templates and populate finalized content into approved templates.
  • Conduct accessibility and quality assurance reviews in accordance with WCAG standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, review, organize, and finalize website content.
  • Support information architecture and content organization to ensure intuitive and consistent website experiences.
  • Document content governance standards, workflows, ownership models, and publishing processes.
  • Develop SOPs and other process documentation to support long-term website operations and maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve content migration, publishing, and website maintenance processes.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and outstanding items using established project management tools.
  • Provide launch support and help resolve content, publishing, accessibility, and QA issues.
  • Help establish repeatable processes that reduce implementation effort and support efficient future website launches.

Content Management Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Experience with website content migration, content operations, or website implementation projects.
  • Experience conducting content inventories, audits, and migration planning.
  • Hands-on experience publishing and configuring content within a CMS.
  • Knowledge of website content governance, workflows, and process documentation.
  • Experience conducting website accessibility and QA reviews, including familiarity with WCAG standards.
  • Strong organizational and project tracking skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
  • Experience with information architecture and content organization.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, detailed documentation and SOPs.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders and manage project-related communications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to content quality and accuracy.
  • Experience with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) preferred.
  • Experience with Asana, SharePoint, Slack, and Microsoft Word preferred.
  • Experience configuring website templates and populating approved templates with finalized content preferred.

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Hourly $38.00 to $42.00
