Why this role is important to Field Nation:

Responsible for editorial quality, brand expression, and content governance across all owned and external-facing channels, this role ensures company content is clear, consistent, compliant, and aligned with the messaging and narrative defined by Product Marketing. The person in this position will produce high-impact, brand-defining content, manage corporate social channels, and lead crisis and issue communications execution. They will also own the systems, standards, and processes needed to scale content safely in a regulated B2B marketplace technology environment. While Product Marketing defines messaging and narrative strategy, this role is accountable for how that narrative is expressed, governed, and activated across channels.

What you'll get to do:

• Lead the creation and execution of Tier 1, brand-defining content including thought leadership, company announcements, executive messaging, and top-of-funnel demand content aligned to Product Marketing strategy.
• Own content creation, publishing, and governance across corporate social channels, ensuring messaging aligns with brand standards, approved narratives, and organizational risk posture.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable content governance frameworks, including editorial standards, approval workflows, style guides, content tiering, and compliance checkpoints.
• Serve as the editorial authority for high-visibility and high-risk communications, acting as final approver for Tier 1 content and advising senior marketing and executive stakeholders on quality, tone, and reputational risk.
• Ensure consistency and cohesion of brand messaging across Product Marketing, Revenue Marketing, Corporate Communications, and external-facing channels.
• Mentor and guide content production resources, prioritizing efforts toward the highest-impact and highest-risk content initiatives.
• Own crisis and issue communications execution, maintaining response playbooks and partnering cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Legal, Executive Leadership, and PR to ensure timely, clear, and brand-aligned communications during sensitive situations.

You might be a good fit if you have:

• 6+ years of experience in editorial, content, communications, or brand leadership roles.

• Proven experience leading editorial governance in a regulated or high-risk environment.

• Strong crisis communications execution experience.

• Exceptional editorial judgment and written communication skills.

• Experience collaborating with content teams and external partners.

• Comfort operating cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority.

$102,000 - $122,000 a year

We believe it's important to share the compensation range to best understand the full opportunity of a role! We select our initial range based on reliable compensation survey data. Other factors we consider in setting the specific pay for an individual will generally include, among other things, experience, specialized skills, work location, and internal equity to provide competitive offers.

Additionally, every role is eligible for variable pay dependent on the position. As an agile and growing organization, the business needs may change. This may result in us hiring someone with less or more experience than the job description states. If that does happen, we will communicate the updated salary range and the new role to you as a candidate.

Base Salary Range | Minnesota or other Zone 3 | $102,000 - 122,000
