Kforce has a client in Alexandria, VA that is seeking a Consumer Lending Specialist.
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a Consumer Lending Specialist to support consumer lending operations and deliver exceptional service to members throughout the loan process. This individual will be responsible for reviewing loan applications, processing and funding loans, maintaining accurate loan documentation, and assisting members with lending products and services. The ideal candidate will have prior credit union experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, process, and fund consumer loan applications in accordance with credit union policies and procedures
- Collect, verify, and review supporting documentation to ensure complete loan files
- Maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the loan origination and funding process
- Communicate with members regarding loan status, documentation requirements, and funding timelines
- Answer member inquiries related to consumer lending products and services
- Review credit reports and supporting financial information
- Ensure loan files are complete and properly documented
- Partner with internal departments to facilitate a smooth lending experience
- Maintain a high level of member service while adhering to regulatory requirements
- Assist with other lending and operational duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of lending experience
- Credit Union experience required
- Excel experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
