VIVA Consulting is seeking a Consulting Project Manager to help lead and coordinate client engagements from strategy through implementation. This role is ideal for a thoughtful, highly organized professional who understands real estate, project management, consulting, or community development and enjoys working on complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
The Consulting Project Manager will work closely with VIVA’s consulting team and clients to define project goals, develop work plans, coordinate activities, analyze information, track progress, and help ensure successful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of real estate and organizational challenges while developing strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day coordination and delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring projects remain on schedule, on budget, and aligned with client objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and tracking tools for a range of real estate and consulting assignments.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, developers, property managers, lenders, public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct research and analysis related to real estate development, property operations, financing, market conditions, organizational strategy, and business opportunities.
- Prepare professional reports, presentations, recommendations, meeting materials, and other client deliverables.
- Facilitate meetings, document decisions and action items, and maintain clear communication among project stakeholders.
- Identify project risks, challenges, and opportunities and work with the consulting team to develop practical solutions.
- Support real estate development initiatives from early-stage strategy and feasibility through financing, implementation, and completion.
- Assist clients with property management improvements, operational planning, refinancing efforts, and new business initiatives.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, and deliverables and provide regular updates to VIVA leadership and clients.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and external partners.
- Contribute to business development, proposals, presentations, and other firm-wide initiatives as needed.
- Bring a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to projects and contribute knowledge and ideas across the VIVA team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, finance, urban planning, public administration, community development, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in project management, real estate, consulting, community development, property management, finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and diverse stakeholders.
- Experience developing presentations, reports, budgets, project plans, and other professional deliverables.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable productivity and presentation tools.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative consulting team.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, initiative, and a strong sense of accountability.
- Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings and project work.
- Experience working with public, private, or nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of real estate development, affordable or mixed-income housing, property operations, financing, or community development is a strong plus.
