Consultant, Health & Benefits Consulting

As a Consultant within our Health & Benefits Consulting Practice, you will play a key role in supporting our client’s health and wellbeing strategies. This role is ideal for a benefits professional who can independently manage client deliverables, build strong client relationships, and contribute to strategic consulting engagements while supporting the growth and development of team members.

• Lead the day-to-day management and execution of client engagements, serving as the primary project manager and coordinating timelines, deliverables, action items, and internal resources across client teams.
• Act as a key contact for clients, proactively managing routine communications, resolving issues, and ensuring timely follow-up on client requests and priorities.
• Support the strategic design, implementation, and ongoing management of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
• Lead benefit plan benchmarking, plan design evaluations, cost-saving opportunities, and funding strategy analyses in partnership with actuarial and specialty practice teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and ongoing service delivery, including renewals, implementation activities, performance reviews, and resolution of vendor performance, billing, enrollment, and escalated member issues.
• Lead the preparation, analysis, and execution of vendor RFPs and market evaluations for health and wellbeing programs.
• Oversee the development and review of client deliverables, ensuring analyses, presentations, and recommendations are accurate, strategic, and client-ready.
• Facilitate client meetings, develop agendas and presentation materials, drive discussions, document decisions, and ensure accountability for follow-up activities.
• Take on special projects and assignments to support the client and practice objectives.

You are a proactive and strategic thinker who can balance multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. You take ownership of client deliverables, understand how your work supports broader client objectives, and are comfortable providing guidance to junior team members.

You enjoy building relationships, solving complex benefits challenges, and working collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions that help clients achieve their goals.

What You Bring

• Strong knowledge of employer-sponsored health and welfare benefit programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience utilizing technology and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 3-5 years of health and welfare consulting, brokerage, carrier, TPA, or related employee benefits experience.
• Active Life & Health License or willingness to obtain and maintain licensure within 6 months of hire.
