Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Consultant for a Contract with a client in Durham, NC (Remote). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end vendor risk assessments, evaluating security controls and SOC 2 compliance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive risk remediation and compliance initiatives.

Rate Range: $44/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Consultant Job Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end third-party/vendor risk assessments across technology, SaaS, cloud, and hybrid environments.

  • Perform detailed reviews of application, solution, and cloud architectures to identify security control gaps and recommend remediation strategies.

  • Conduct SOC 2 assessments, evaluate control effectiveness, and communicate risk findings to stakeholders.

  • Ensure vendor security evaluations align with enterprise security policies, data protection standards, and frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, IT, Privacy, Audit, and Security teams to drive assessment completion and remediation tracking.

  • Utilize GRC and risk intelligence platforms (RSA Archer, ServiceNow, BitSight, SecurityScorecard, etc.) to manage vendor risk lifecycle activities and report key risk metrics to leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 8-10 years of experience in Information Security, GRC, Vendor Risk Management, or Third-Party Risk Assessment programs.

  • Strong hands-on experience conducting Vendor/Third-Party Risk Assessments, including control reviews, risk identification, and remediation management.

  • Proven knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and data protection requirements.

Pay Details: $44.00 to $45.00 per hour
