    About the Structural Framing and Steel Erection Foreman position

    We are looking for a Structural Framing and Steel Erection Foreman to serve as a hands-on, traveling supervisor overseeing the mechanical framing skeleton of our construction projects. In this role, you will lead a team of ironworkers, carpenters, welders, and laborers to erect structural steel frameworks, install prefabricated metal wall panels, and build heavy concrete form systems. You will be a key person for leading the staff towards the completion of a project, supporting them and assisting to interact with the senior management.

    You should have a solid background in structural steel and framing work, along with strong leadership skills, being able to direct the work of others and make quick decisions on-site. We also expect you to be well-organized, detail-oriented when it comes to alignment and plumb work, and to favor safety above everything else.

      Lead ironworkers, carpenters, welders, and laborers in the erection of structural steel frameworks

      Oversee the installation of prefabricated metal wall panels

      Direct the construction of heavy concrete form systems

      Ensure all structural skeletons, walls, and forms are perfectly aligned, plumb, and ready for subsequent subcontractors

      Organize the fulfillment of tasks according to priorities and plans

    • *

      Create schedules and monitor attendance of crew

    • *

      Assign general and daily responsibilities

      *
    • *
    • *

      Train workers and tradespeople and monitor their performance

    • *

      Manage manpower and resources, ensuring they are adequate

    • *

      Adhere to all safety requirements and quality standards

      Monitor the use of machinery and equipment

      Review and analyze expenditures on a regular basis, ensuring they remain within budget

      Troubleshoot problems when they arise

      Prepare reports on progress to managers, engineers and other stakeholders

    Structural Framing and Steel Erection Foreman requirements are:

    • *
    • *

      5+ years' experience of working as a Construction Foreman and structural steel erections

      *
    • *
    • *

      Significant experience with construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines

      *
    • *
    • *

      Significant experience with electrical and hydraulic systems

      *
    • *
    • *

      Excellent understanding of how to read and implement drawings, plans and blueprints

      *
    • *
    • *

      Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills

      *
    • *
    • *

      Strong math and problem-solving skills with an ability to report effectively

      *
    • *
    • *

      Good physical condition and stamina. Willing to be able to work in the elements.

    • Willing to travel. Projects last up to 10 months.

    • High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade, such as electrician, carpenter or other
    • Pass extensive background check for military and federal projects,

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Fluent English and Spanish preferred
    • OSHA 30-: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification (Focus on Subpart R - Steel Erection).
    • Rigging/Signaling: Qualified Rigger and Crane Signaler credentials
    • Welding: AWS Welding Certification
    • Valid Drivers License
    • First Aid and CPR
