Job Title: Construction WorkerJob Description

This role involves working on active construction and industrial sites to cut and remove existing concrete, build new forms, and pour new slabs and structures on site. You will contribute to a variety of concrete and carpentry tasks, ensuring structures are safe, durable, and built to specification.


Responsibilities


+ Cut and remove existing concrete on construction and industrial sites using appropriate tools and methods.

+ Build, install, and align concrete forms for new slabs and structural elements.

+ Mix, pour, spread, and finish concrete to meet project specifications and quality standards.

+ Perform framing work for structures associated with concrete pours and related construction tasks.

+ Tie and place rebar to reinforce concrete structures according to drawings and guidelines.

+ Carry out finish carpentry duties related to concrete formwork and associated structures.

+ Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, measuring, and assembling materials.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on the construction site.

+ Follow site safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.

+ Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete tasks efficiently and meet project timelines.

+ Inspect forms, rebar placement, and concrete finishes for quality and accuracy before and after pours.


Essential Skills


+ 2–6+ years of experience working in the construction industry.

+ 2–6+ years of experience working with concrete and carpentry.

+ Proficiency in concrete work, including forming, pouring, and finishing.

+ Ability to perform framing and formwork for concrete structures.

+ Ability to tie rebar and understand basic reinforcement layouts.

+ Ability to perform finish concrete and finish carpentry duties.

+ Experience with framing, rebar work, finish carpentry, and concrete finishing.

+ Proficient use of hand tools such as hammers, levels, measuring tapes, and chisels.

+ Proficient use of power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders.

+ Strong understanding of construction site practices and basic safety procedures.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Experience working on industrial construction sites.

+ Ability to read and follow basic instructions and directions from supervisors.

+ Capacity to work extended hours, including overtime, as needed to meet project demands.

+ Physical ability to perform demanding construction tasks, including lifting, bending, and working on your feet for long periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.


Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
