Construction Technician

The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is looking for a Construction Tech who will perform tasks involving close support of heavy equipment operations at various sites. Shall also have the ability to operate safely, efficiently and effectively forklifts, wheel loaders and compaction equipment.

Your Role:

• Operate and maintain construction equipment and machines.
• Help other equipment operators and other skilled labor when necessary.
• Prep construction/remediation sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
• Load or unload construction materials and debris.
• Put together and take apart temporary structures and apparatuses in support of construction and remediation tasks
• Remove, fill, transport or compact earth.
• Follow instructions from supervisors.
• Assist craft workers.
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
• Perform site clean-up.

Qualifications:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• The candidate must have a minimum experience of 1 year in the construction and remediation industry.
• Must have valid driver license in good standing.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Workers must be punctual and reliable
• Ability to work in all weather
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
• Must have experience in the construction and remediation industry.

Salary range is between $23-27 per hour

In addition, be able to perform physical labor and other strenuous tasks. They will also need to be able to work in all weather conditions.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Majority of work performed will be outside. Work environment will vary from remediation sites, sites requiring traffic controls, to remote locations. This will also include supporting Cal-Fire and US Forest Service operations, general commercial and industrial construction activities.

Language & Communication Skills: Must be fluent in the English language - speaking, reading and writing.
