Job description
S&R Enterprises is a structural steel and precast erection company that is heavy involved in the aerospace and commercial industry, we are seeking a qualified candidate to assist in Construction Surveyor/Field Engineer on the east coast.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Construction Surveying with Total Station.
- Assisting with layout, as-builts, and quality assurance of steel construction.
- Assisting with Project Management of documents and RFI tracking.
- Proper care and calibration of survey equipment.
Skills Required
- Proficient with a Total Station and Data Collector.
- Proficient with Auto Level, can run and close a level loop.
- Basic survey knowledge and strong math and spatial skills.
- Familiarity with construction drawings.
- Familiarity with CAD and 3D modeling.
- Experience using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Organized.
- And most importantly the ability to learn and take responsibility.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors in Surveying or Engineering degree
- Demonstrated strong propensity for hands-on work and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, to manage shifting priorities and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a construction/industrial environment.
- Ability to work in a high-concentration, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary.
