A leading NYC general contractor is seeking a DOB-licensed Superintendent to oversee public sector construction projects across the five boroughs. This role will lead field operations on agency-driven work, ensuring strict compliance with safety, schedule, and regulatory requirements.

Description
- Lead all on-site construction activities for public agency projects (MTA, SCA, DASNY, etc.)
- Ensure full compliance with NYC DOB regulations, permits, and inspections
- Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce Chapter 33 requirements at all times Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, and site logistics in active/occupied environments
- Manage project schedules, sequencing, and daily field operations
- Conduct daily site walks, safety inspections, and maintain DOB logbooks
- Review drawings and ensure all work aligns with approved documents
- Identify and immediately correct unsafe conditions on site
- Interface with agency representatives, inspectors, and ownership teams
- Oversee inspections, punch lists, and project closeout

Profile
A successful Superintendent should have:
- Active NYC DOB Construction Superintendent License (required)
- 8-20+ years of construction field experience in NYC
- Proven experience on public sector / agency-driven projects (MTA, SCA, DASNY, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, DOB processes, and inspections
- Ability to manage safety, compliance, and documentation at a high level
- Experience working in union environments and regulated job sites
- Strong leadership skills managing multiple trades and field teams
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain compliance-heavy projects
- OSHA / SST certifications required
