Take the next step in your construction leadership career with a role that spans Chicagoland project sites, delivering high-impact work from mobilization through closeout. In this Construction Superintendent opportunity, you’ll lead field operations across multifamily, adaptive reuse, commercial interiors, tenant improvements, and renovations—driving safety, quality, schedule performance, and subcontractor coordination.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Construction Superintendent position include:
- 5–10+ years of construction experience with field leadership responsibility, including superintendent experience on projects up to $30M.
- Lead all on-site activities from mobilization through closeout while coordinating daily work with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and consultants.
- Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules aligned with the master schedule, identify constructability and sequencing issues, and implement recovery plans as needed.
- Serve as the primary on-site safety leader by enforcing OSHA, company, and project-specific safety programs and addressing unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure work conforms to contract documents, approved submittals, and codes; coordinate inspections with owners, design teams, AHJs, and IHDA agencies.
- Coordinate multiple trades across union and non-union environments, lead trade/production/safety meetings, and enforce compliance with schedule, safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Provide regular progress updates and maintain accurate daily reports, logs, photos, and inspection records.
- Oversee punch list resolution, turnover documentation, and support warranty and post-construction efforts as required.
Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
