Construction Site Support Specialist

Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73127
Project Type: Data Center Construction / Retrofit
Schedule: Monday Saturday, approximately 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 50 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Contract / Long-Term Project Opportunity

Position Overview

Our client is seeking dependable Construction Site Support Specialists to support a large-scale data center construction and retrofit project in Oklahoma City.

This position provides general construction-site support, housekeeping, material handling, and other basic tasks that help keep the project organized, safe, and moving efficiently.

This is a long-term opportunity on a major data center project with significant potential for additional responsibilities as construction activity increases.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general construction-site cleanup and housekeeping.
  • Sweep and maintain clean work areas.
  • Collect, remove, and organize trash and debris.
  • Move materials and supplies around the job site as directed.
  • Assist with job-site setup and organization.
  • Assemble basic shelving, cabinets, and other site equipment.
  • Hang whiteboards and perform basic installation tasks.
  • Use basic hand tools such as hammers, levels, and similar equipment.
  • Assist with protecting finished surfaces and flooring.
  • Help maintain offices, work areas, and common spaces.
  • Move trash and materials between different areas of the facility.
  • Perform basic construction-support tasks as assigned.
  • Follow instructions from the Client's Assistant Superintendent.
  • Work independently after receiving assignments.
  • Follow all site safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a professional and dependable presence on the job site.

QualificationsRequired:

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
  • Ability to work approximately 50 60 hours per week.
  • Ability to work Monday Saturday.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Ability to work in an active construction environment.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work.
  • Ability to provide required work boots and appropriate work clothing.
  • Basic common sense and a willingness to take initiative.

Preferred:

  • Previous construction experience.
  • General labor experience.
  • Warehouse, facilities, industrial, or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using basic hand tools.
  • Experience working on a construction site or large commercial project.

Physical Requirements

Candidates should be comfortable performing physical work throughout a large construction-site environment.

The role may require:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Sweeping and cleaning.
  • Moving materials and supplies.
  • Lifting and carrying materials.
  • Using basic hand tools.
  • Working with another person to move heavier items.
  • Performing repetitive physical tasks.
  • Mechanical equipment or additional personnel will be utilized when appropriate for heavier materials.

PPE / Dress Requirements

Client will provide:

  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses
  • Gloves
  • High-visibility vest

Employees must provide:

  • Work pants/jeans
  • Appropriate work clothing
  • Safety/composite-toe work boots meeting site requirements

Clothing must be clean, presentable, and appropriate for an active construction site.

Work Environment

  • This position is based at a large Oklahoma City data center construction/retrofit project.
  • The overall facility is approximately 1.7 million square feet, and the project also includes construction of a new approximately 260,000-square-foot data center building.
  • The job site is large, so employees should be comfortable walking and working throughout an expansive construction environment.
