Position Overview:
The successful candidate for this position will be assigned to the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Facilities Program
Position Functions:
1. Work under the supervision of Senior Schedulers and Project Schedulers to provide construction schedule review comments for contractor-generated Baseline Schedules and Monthly Schedule updates based on LAUSD review templates.
2. Assist the scheduling team in creating and populating various schedule related reports in Excel and P6 software.
3. Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
4. Perform QA/QC on contractors’ schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope andrequirements.
5. Analyze schedules for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity.
6. Perform QA/QC on P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance with scheduling guidelines for various project types.
7. Update the master program schedule with as-built start and finish dates while coordinating input from various Facilities teams on projected/forecast sequential start / finish dates.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Required Experience:
Minimum sone (1) year full time paid professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in an educational facility or public works projects.
Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version (P6 v19) and MS Office Suite
Required Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
Understanding of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering, scheduling and schedule forensics
Required Education:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or any related field.
