We are hiring a Construction Safety Manager to serve as the onsite safety leader for remote industrial, water/wastewater, renewable energy, and infrastructure construction projects, with the position based just outside of the Twin Falls, ID area. The Construction Safety Manager implements the corporate safety program, enforces OSHA compliance, and works daily alongside project managers, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors in the field. This is a full-time, salaried, direct hire position requiring travel up to 100% and extended stays at assigned project locations.

Key Responsibilities - Construction Safety Manager
- Implement the corporate safety program on assigned projects and develop Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs). Lead pre-construction safety planning and hazard assessments.
- Perform daily jobsite inspections and routine safety audits of employees and subcontractors. Verify PPE compliance and coordinate corrective actions through closure.
- Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and support Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) development. Verify permits for confined space entry, lockout/tagout, crane and rigging, excavation and trenching, hot work, electrical work, and work at heights.
- Respond to incidents and near misses, conduct root cause investigations, and maintain accurate incident records. Assist with workers compensation reporting as required.
- Deliver new hire orientation, weekly toolbox talks, and ongoing field coaching. Maintain OSHA documentation, training records, and weekly and monthly project safety reports.
Qualifications - Construction Safety Manager
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of construction safety experience, including leading subcontractor safety efforts.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926) and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Demonstrated incident investigation and root cause analysis capability.
- Proven ability to conduct safety training and coach crews in the field. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety management or reporting software.
Preferred Qualifications - Site Safety Manager
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, safety management, environmental health and safety, industrial safety, construction management, or engineering. Equivalent construction safety experience may be considered.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction and OSHA 500 Construction Outreach Trainer.
- CHST, CSP, HAZWOPER 40-Hour, and First Aid / CPR / AED certification.
- Fall Protection Competent Person, Excavation Competent Person, and NFPA 70E training.
- Experience on industrial, water/wastewater, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects and on remote construction sites. Ability to interpret construction drawings and project schedules.
Physical Requirements - Construction Safety Manager
- Walk long distances across active construction sites and traverse uneven terrain.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs and access elevated work areas. Stand for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Work outdoors in varying weather with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, heat, and cold. Enter confined spaces when necessary.
- Wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, fall protection, and high-visibility clothing.
