    Safety Director

    Location: Grand Prairie, TX
    Salary: $145,000–$175,000 + Bonus Potential

    About the Opportunity

    Our client is a well-established construction contractor seeking an experienced Safety Director to lead and continuously improve their company-wide safety program. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, fostering a strong safety culture, and partnering with field leadership across multiple active construction projects.

    The majority of projects are located throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with occasional travel required to visit projects outside of the area.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage the company's overall health and safety program across multiple construction projects.
    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve company safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
    • Conduct regular jobsite safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations.
    • Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries while identifying corrective and preventative actions.
    • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee training.
    • Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to proactively identify and mitigate jobsite hazards.
    • Maintain OSHA logs, safety documentation, certifications, and compliance records.
    • Coordinate return-to-work programs and assist with workers' compensation claims when necessary.
    • Track safety metrics and prepare reports for executive leadership.
    • Promote a culture where safety is a core value throughout the organization.

    Qualifications

    • OSHA 500 Certification (Required)
    • OSHA 510 Certification (Required)
    • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) Certification (Required)
    • Current CPR & First Aid Certification (Required)
    • 7+ years of construction safety experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
    • Experience supporting commercial, industrial, civil, or specialty trade contractors is highly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and training abilities.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with field personnel while maintaining accountability.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

    Compensation & Benefits
