Lead Quality on Major Infrastructure Projects

At Atlas, we're building and supporting infrastructure that helps communities thrive. We're seeking an experienced Construction QA/QC Manager to lead project-specific quality programs for major heavy civil infrastructure projects in the Puget Sound region.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of QA/QC planning, field inspection and testing oversight, non-conformance resolution, and quality coordination with owners, contractors, inspectors, testing laboratories, and project teams.

If your background includes heavy civil construction, structural concrete, construction inspection, and field quality, and you're ready for a role where your expertise directly influences project success, we'd like to talk with you.

What You'll Lead

  • Lead and manage project-specific construction QA/QC programs from planning through construction completion.

  • Oversee field inspection, materials testing, and quality documentation to ensure work meets project plans, specifications, standards, and owner requirements.

  • Coordinate inspectors, testing technicians, laboratories, contractors, and project teams to ensure appropriate quality coverage throughout construction.

  • Lead pre-activity meetings, hold points, quality audits, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality documentation.

  • Partner with owners, contractors, and project leadership to identify, communicate, and resolve construction quality issues.

  • Coordinate owner quality-verification testing, inspection, and Independent Assurance requirements.

  • Ensure inspection and testing personnel maintain appropriate training and certifications for assigned construction activities.

  • Monitor testing equipment, calibration records, inspection documentation, and other quality-program requirements.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressively responsible construction QA/QC, construction inspection, or construction management experience, including experience supporting or leading quality activities.

  • Strong experience on heavy civil or infrastructure construction projects.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of structural concrete construction, inspection, testing, and quality requirements.

  • Experience administering or supporting construction QA/QC programs, including inspections, testing, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.

  • Experience coordinating field inspectors, testing personnel, laboratories, contractors, or other construction resources.

  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with owners, contractors, field personnel, and project leadership.

  • Ability to work flexible hours when required for critical construction activities, inspections, or testing.

  • Ability to access active construction areas, including ladders, scaffolding, elevated locations, building roofs, and bridges, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience.

  • Experience with transportation, transit, bridges, water/wastewater, aviation, or other major public infrastructure projects.

  • Experience representing an owner, construction manager, consultant, or contractor on complex construction projects.

  • Experience working with public agencies or major infrastructure owners.

  • Relevant construction inspection or materials-testing certifications such as ACI, WAQTC, ICC, WABO, CCM, or similar credentials, as applicable to the project.

  • Experience leading or mentoring construction inspectors and quality personnel.
