Construction & Public Contracts Attorney

The Firm: A well-established, full-service law firm with multiple offices and a national construction practice. It is seeking a senior attorney for its Florida office.

About the Role:

You will represent construction clients across every part of their business: bid protests, claim preparation and presentation, negotiations, mediations, litigation, and appeals. Senior associate, counsel, and partner candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, manage, and monitor significant complex disputes and litigation on a national basis
• Handle risk management of potential claims
• Develop litigation and resolution strategies, and report to clients
• Manage local counsel and experts, and collaborate with multiple entities
• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and prepare for arbitrations, mediations, and trial

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of relevant litigation experience
• E-discovery experience
• Plus: litigating delay/disruption, payment, and breach of contract construction disputes
• Admission to the Florida Bar required
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills, and an excellent academic record
• Highly motivated; able to work independently and as part of a team
