Project Scheduler (EV Charging Infrastructure)

12-Month Contract | Opportunity for Extension

Location: Remote but has to be located in Central U.S. (CST Time Zone States)

Travel: Approximately 4 trips per year

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Scheduler to support the planning, coordination, and execution of EV charging infrastructure projects across the United States. This role will partner closely with Pre-Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, Operations, and external vendors to maintain project schedules, track milestones, identify risks, and drive on-time project delivery.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction project scheduling, thrives in fast-paced environments, and possesses exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, navigate ambiguity, influence cross-functional teams, and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts before they impact project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules for EV charging infrastructure deployments, expansions, and retrofit initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables remain on track.
  • Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication across Construction, Pre-Construction, Engineering, Operations, and third-party partners.
  • Track and report program KPIs, schedule performance, milestones, and project health metrics.
  • Drive accountability among project stakeholders to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.
  • Support portfolio-level planning and prioritization across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating project trade-offs related to schedule, budget, quality, and customer impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and status reporting tools.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project, program, or construction scheduling experience
  • Experience supporting commercial construction, infrastructure, utility, telecommunications, renewable energy, EV charging, or similar large-scale deployment projects
  • Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle, including planning, permitting, procurement, construction, and closeout phases
  • Proven experience managing schedules across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and drive resolution
  • Experience tracking project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and project management tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting EV charging, energy infrastructure, utility, renewable energy, or large-scale network deployment programs
  • Experience working within PMO or construction program management environments
  • Familiarity with KPI reporting, dashboard creation, and schedule performance analysis
  • Experience managing geographically distributed project portfolios

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

A typical day may include coordinating with project managers, construction teams, and external vendors to review project progress, update schedules, track milestone completion, identify risks, and communicate status updates. The Project Scheduler will serve as a central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects remain aligned to business objectives and are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on identifying and resolving issues early
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving, fast-paced environment with changing business needs

Communication skills are critical for success in this role. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate with executives, project teams, construction partners, and external stakeholders while driving alignment and execution across multiple projects.
