Project Manager

Job Description

Manage large-scale public construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and financial performance. Coordinate owners, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with public agency requirements and project specifications. Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining schedule and budget goals. Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and agency representatives. Collaborate closely with Superintendents and executive leadership to ensure successful project delivery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
  • Proven experience managing NYC public building projects valued at $20M+
  • Experience working with agencies such as NYC Health + Hospitals, DDC, DASNY, DSNY, MTA, SCA, or similar public entities
  • Strong background in healthcare, institutional, municipal, or government construction
  • Exceptional knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost controls
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
  • Ability to successfully manage complex, multi-stakeholder construction projects
