We're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead large-scale public construction projects throughout New York City, including a landmark healthcare project in Brooklyn. Description
- Manage large-scale public construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and financial performance
- Coordinate owners, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with public agency requirements and project specifications
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining schedule and budget goals
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and agency representatives
- Collaborate closely with Superintendents and executive leadership to ensure successful project delivery
Profile
A successful Project Manager should have:
- 7+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
- Proven experience managing NYC public building projects valued at $20M+
- Experience working with agencies such as NYC Health + Hospitals, DDC, DASNY, DSNY, MTA, SCA, or similar public entities
- Strong background in healthcare, institutional, municipal, or government construction
- Exceptional knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost controls
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
- Ability to successfully manage complex, multi-stakeholder construction projects
