Project Manager - Newark, NJ (Public Transit Project)
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee a public infrastructure project in Newark, NJ, in connection with NJ Transit.
The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the construction project from initiation to completion, working closely with the management team. The ideal candidate understands project plans, requirements, and specifications, and knows the means, methods, and costs associated with construction. This person keeps the project on budget and on schedule, maintains strong documentation, and is confident managing public agency projects with strict compliance and reporting standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
We are looking for a self-motivated team player experienced in public sector construction who is excited to take ownership of this project.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Leading the project from start to finish, including planning and budget management
Managing subcontractor bidding, scope review, and subcontract drafting
Overseeing the permit process, site logistics plan, and project safety manual
Managing schedules of values, monthly requisitions, and the change order process
Managing submittals and the RFI process
Supporting development of the Project CPM Schedule alongside a third-party scheduler
Organizing and documenting project and subcontractor meetings
Overseeing quality control, document control, and the closeout process
Managing owner, subcontractor, and vendor payments in compliance with public agency requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the public sector. Port Authority of NY & NJ experience strongly preferre
Ground-up vertical construction experience with strong worksite experience
Minimum of 30 hours of OSHA training
