Our client is a growing GC located in the NYC metro area. This firm, who has doubled in size in the last 3 years, has a pipeline of work for the next several years. They are known for delivering exceptional construction projects and for taking care of their employees.

Job Description

Construction Project Manager

Manage multiple high-end residential renovation projects from pre-construction through final completion.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and construction timelines.

Coordinate all phases of construction, including demolition, structural work, MEP systems, millwork, finishes, and punch-list completion.

Lead project meetings with clients, architects, interior designers, engineers, subcontractors, and building management teams.

Ensure project milestones, deadlines, and quality standards are achieved.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, architects, and design teams.

Provide regular project updates, budget reporting, and schedule status communications.

Manage client expectations while delivering exceptional customer service and a white-glove project experience.

Build and maintain strong relationships with luxury residential clients and industry professionals.

Budget & Financial Oversight

Prepare project budgets, estimates, change orders, and cost reports.

Monitor project financial performance and identify opportunities to control costs.

Review subcontractor bids and negotiate scopes of work.

Approve invoices and manage project billing processes.

Construction Operations

Oversee site superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards.

Coordinate material procurement and long-lead item deliveries.

Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and adherence to plans.

The Successful Applicant

Construction Project Manager

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.

7+ years of construction project management experience.

Minimum 5 years managing luxury residential renovation projects in New York City.

Strong understanding of NYC construction practices, permitting, and code requirements.

Experience with co-op, condominium, townhouse, and brownstone renovations.

Proven ability to manage projects valued between $500K and $10M+.

Strong budgeting, scheduling, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
