Construction Project Manager - New York City

BELMONT Search is a Construction and Infrastructure executive search firm. We recruit project managers for general contractors and construction managers in New York City, on commercial, institutional and residential work.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A Project Manager position with an established New York City general contractor, on projects across the five boroughs. The position reports to a project executive, carries one substantial project or two smaller ones at a time, and is the contractor's responsible manager on each.

THE ROLE

The contract from award through closeout: buyout, the owner and the design team, the cost report and the schedule, with a superintendent running the site alongside you and an assistant project manager or project engineer working to you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Buyout, subcontracts and the schedule of values on each project
• Owner and architect meetings, and the monthly requisition
• Cost reporting, forecasting and change orders
• Submittals, requests for information and procurement, delegated and reviewed
• Department of Buildings filings, inspections and sign-offs, coordinated with the superintendent and the expediter
• Closeout documentation, punch and warranty

QUALIFICATIONS

• Six or more years in construction project management, with projects carried from award through closeout as the responsible manager
• New York City projects at a general contractor or construction manager
• Procore or a comparable project management platform
• A construction management or engineering degree, or equivalent field experience

COMPENSATION

Base of $130,000 to $175,000, plus bonus.
