Project Executive - Construction
A reputable central Indiana construction company is seeking an experienced construction professional with 15+ years of progressive project management and leadership experience managing large-scale, ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $15 million or more.
The ideal candidate will have experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager, with project experience in healthcare, education, industrial, and/or concrete construction preferred.
Project Executive - Construction Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level oversight for multiple construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Lead, mentor, and support Project Managers and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Establish project goals, priorities, schedules, and performance expectations while monitoring overall progress.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company and client expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support future business development.
- Participate in hiring and interviewing for key project and leadership positions.
- Provide guidance on project challenges, risk management, financial performance, staffing, and overall project strategy.
- Ensure project teams are aligned with company procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
Project Executive - Construction Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 15 years of successful commercial construction project management experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, ground-up construction projects valued at $15 million or more.
- Experience leading multiple project teams and mentoring Project Managers.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, cost management, risk management, and project controls.
- Experience working with applicable construction regulations, codes, and industry requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and client relationship skills.
