About this Role:
Quanta Power Solutionsis seeking an experiencedConstruction Operations Managerto provide on-site oversight, coordination, management, and technical expertise for large-scale EPC projects within the electric power delivery sector. This role interfaces daily with discipline supervisors, subcontractors, and site safety personnel to ensure project specifications are followed and construction activities remain on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Do:
Work closely with discipline supervisors and project managers to ensure crews and subcontractors are operating efficiently to meet project requirements, budgets, forecasts, and schedules
Integrate safety into all project plans, reinforce safety policies, support safety trainings, and correct unsafe conditions
Supervise total construction efforts to ensure productivity of craft labor, efficient use of materials and equipment, and achievement of contractual performance goals
Review subcontractor work packages and support execution planning
Assist discipline supervisors with scope development, technical questions, and problem resolution
Systematically evaluate project progress against goals, schedules, and objectives
Conduct daily site coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams
Ensure environmental, regulatory, and safety requirements are maintained throughout construction activities
Support start-up, commissioning, and testing activities during project closeout
Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures
Employee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations
What You'll Bring:
Required Qualifications
20–25 years of substation or related facility construction experience with a proven track record on large, complex projects
Strong technical background in the installation and operation of high-voltage electrical facilities and associated systems
Thorough understanding of construction methods, equipment, scheduling, cost control, safety, engineering coordination, and craft labor management
Ability to lead teams in fast-paced field environments while managing multiple priorities
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 20 pounds, standing, walking, bending, climbing, stretching, and crawling in both office and field environments
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and uneven terrain
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Experience supporting EPC projects in the electric power delivery industry
Experience managing subcontractors, field execution, and commissioning support activities
Familiarity with utility, substation, transmission, or industrial power projects
